Staff Software Engineer role focused on building and leading the development of state-of-the-art telemetry infrastructure for GCP's financial exchange platform. This involves driving the architecture and design of mission-critical systems for ultra-low-latency networks and real-time fairness monitoring in institutional-grade trading workloads.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
  2. Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
  3. Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
  4. Lead a high-impact engineering team to deliver state-of-the-art telemetry infrastructure for GCP’s financial exchange platform, ensuring technical and execution strategy is aligned with the critical performance and reliability objectives of the global financial services market.
  5. Drive the overarching architecture and design of mission-critical systems, such as the Fairness Monitor (FairMon) and Butter Capture Collector (BCC), to provide deterministic telemetry for ultra-low-latency (ULL) networks and real-time fairness monitoring for institutional-grade trading workloads.
