Staff System Development Technical Program Manager

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · Austin, TX · Engineering

AMD is seeking a Staff System Development Technical Program Manager to lead the management and execution of AI server and hyperscale server platform programs. This role involves driving system-level hardware execution across the full product lifecycle, from definition to end-of-life, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable server platforms.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own system-level technical program strategy and execution across feature delivery, product quality, and continuity of supply, balancing technical trade-offs, customer requirements, and business priorities across the full product lifecycle.
  2. Drive cross-functional alignment between Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain, translating platform capabilities, system constraints, and roadmap strategy into executable plans that support customer commitments and business outcomes.
  3. Lead execution of highly complex, multi-disciplinary system solutions, spanning Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), mechanical architecture, power and thermals, operating systems, BMC, BIOS, solution software, diagnostics, validation, and test while coordinating internal teams and external vendors to meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
  4. Act as a system-level integrator, ensuring alignment across hardware, firmware, and software architectures, proactively managing inter-team dependencies and surfacing systemic risks early.
  5. Ensure designs meet manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and scalability requirements, partnering closely with manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to enable production readiness and long-term lifecycle sustainability.
