Staff Systems Engineer - Execution Lead

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer / Execution Lead to manage requirement verification plans, coordinate reviews, support data collection, and develop verification records. The role involves working with SMEs and Responsible Engineers, developing system test and verification plans/reports, and supporting peer reviews and test procedure development. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM with significant experience, a Top Secret clearance, and experience in full lifecycle systems engineering, requirements management (DOORS), and leading technical teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Developing Requirement Verification Plans (RVPs) from approved requirements and design reviews for new and changed features.
  2. Coordinating reviews and approvals of the RVPs for Verification Methods
  3. Supporting the collection & review of the Verification Data Products from System Test to ensure the verification date meets the intent and scope of the RVS/RVP
  4. Develop Requirement Verification Records (RVRs) and coordinated internal Systems Engineering and Integration review and customer review and approval of the RVR.
  5. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Responsible Engineers (REs) to gather analysis and data for requirements with Verification Method of Analysis or Inspection

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline with 12 years of related experience OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of related experience OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related experience
  • Active US Government Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Experience supporting Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and CDR
  • Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering, including requirements decomposition, test planning, requirements verification and requirements management
  • Experience in requirements and verification management in DOORS
  • Experience with requirement decomposition and traceability from System to Unit/Supplier Specifications
  • Experience with managing suppliers with technical requirements and verification expectations
  • Experience leading a technical team

Nice to have

  • Active US Government Top Secret SCI clearance
  • Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • Experience in ICD development and integration
  • Experience with multiple disciplines across Systems Engineering, incl. requirements, integration, technical configuration management (CM or Technical Baseline), cyber
