Staff Systems Engineer leading the RQ-4 Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) Team, responsible for strategic direction, software and hardware development oversight, defining and executing a roadmap for commonality, and managing IFC teams. Requires significant experience in systems engineering, team leadership, and clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and roadmap Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) efforts across the RQ-4 Enterprise, driving reuse and commonality while ensuring appropriate configuration identification and management.
  2. Define and drive the execution of a strategic IFC roadmap driving multiple technical baselines toward commonality while establishing software points of departure and accounting for resource utilization across programs.
  3. Utilize Agile methodologies which will enable rapid capability insertion and reduce time to field Implement tools, technologies, and procedure to enable more efficient integration.
  4. Manage and lead IFC teams for the RQ-4 Enterprise.
  5. Monitor and advise the creation and modification of software to meet IFC objectives.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors degree in STEM field and at least 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience
  • active US Government Secret or higher clearance
  • ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
  • experience leading IFC processes and procedures
  • experience utilizing Earned Value Management System
  • experience leading a team of at least 10 individuals in a technical environment

Nice to have

  • MS degree in a STEM Field
  • Aerospace flight and ground software development experience

What the JD emphasized

  • Secret or higher clearance
  • background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation
  • ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
