What you'd actually do

  1. Drive and manage the adoption of computer security frameworks, practices and mindset at every layer of Uber’s technology stack.
  2. Drive class privacy and access program, owning the strategy and execution of multiple business critical security and privacy initiatives.
  3. Map critical business priorities to dependencies and align cross functional roadmaps.
  4. Craft solutions to security, engineering, and infrastructure challenges and serve as a collaborative partner with engineers.
  5. Execute high-impact company-wide initiatives and continuously improve process to increase the effectiveness of our product and engineering organizations.

Skills

Required

  • Hyperscale security and associated infrastructure
  • Experience in one or more security domains
  • Understanding of large scale software/hardware infrastructure including cryptography, software defined networking, message queuing and streaming, distributed databases systems, cloud computing platforms, and other similar infrastructure
  • Working across cross functional teams
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and SQLite
  • Experience with infrastructure technologies and the software or product development lifecycle
