Staff Thermal Engineer responsible for the design, analysis, and integration of aircraft avionics thermal management systems, including contributing to thermal analysis, developing and validating models using CFD tools, driving test planning and data analysis, communicating technical findings, and influencing electrical/PCBA design direction. Requires B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, 7+ years of experience in avionics/electronics thermal engineering, strong expertise in heat transfer and fluid mechanics, and proficiency with thermal analysis/CFD and CAD tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Contribute to thermal analysis and design efforts for unmanned aerial vehicle avionics and thermal/fluid systems.
  2. Develop and validate analytical, numerical, and computational models for heat transfer and fluid flow using hand calculations and CFD tools such as FloEFD.
  3. Drive test planning, instrumentation, and data analysis to correlate models with experimental results.
  4. Communicate technical findings clearly through executive-level briefings, design reviews, and written reports.
  5. Proactively identify risks, propose solutions, and influence electrical and/or PCBA design direction.
