Stamping Industrial Engineer

This role focuses on manufacturing process engineering within Ford's stamping plants, aiming to optimize safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities include developing labor standards, conducting ergonomics evaluations, analyzing process constraints and cycle times, recommending manpower distribution, preparing cost estimates, reviewing plant layouts and material handling, developing methods and standards, conducting time and motion studies, developing cycle line layouts using ACAD, coordinating engineering changes, conducting value stream mapping and process audits, developing cost-saving proposals, and interfacing with production and labor unions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive development and/or installation of direct and indirect labor standards and methods. Track labor, efficient manpower utilization and line balancing
  2. Conduct Job Ergonomics evaluations
  3. Analyze problem process constraints and conduct equipment cycle time analysis
  4. Recommend most efficient distribution of manpower and review daily employee manpower, analyze plant methods and standards
  5. Prepare or direct the preparation of cost estimates of new or revised methods and standards

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 1+ Years of Experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
