This role is for a Startup Account Manager at AWS, focused on driving adoption and growth of AWS services among startups. The candidate will work with founders and technical teams to position AWS as their cloud platform, with a focus on emerging technologies like generative AI and machine learning. The role involves sales, business development, and customer success, with a strong emphasis on meeting revenue targets and developing strategic relationships.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure customer success with early and mid stage startups
  2. Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical
  3. Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful GTM Strategy
  4. Meet or exceed quarterly revenue and goal targets.
  5. Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of technology-related sales, marketing or business development experience
  • 4+ years of technical sales in B2B environments, in a solution-sales / technology-related environment experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams

Nice to have

  • 7+ years of prior work in business development, sales, or sales-engineering, preferably in the technology, internet and e-commerce sectors experience
  • Extensive skills in leveraging tools and technology to increase efficiency in your day-to-day activities
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects and events from design to execution
  • Profound insights into the startup ecosystem, the main stakeholders and trends
  • Passion for startups and entrepreneurial mentality and history of working for, or selling to tech startups
  • Startup Founder/ Startup operating experience in business development, venture capital, or in leadership roles
