This role is for a Startup Business Development Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in China. The primary focus is on partnering with startups, VCs, and accelerators to drive AWS adoption and growth. The role involves evangelizing AWS services, building relationships, participating in events, and identifying high-potential startups and emerging technologies. It is a business development and relationship management role within the cloud computing sector, not a technical AI/ML role.

What you'd actually do

  1. Passionate about startups and innovation. Evangelize AWS’ value to startup founders and ensure they have full awareness and access to the full spectrum of the resources and services AWS/Amazon has to offer.
  2. Cultivate long-term trusted relationship with VCs, A&Is, Startup Communities as their single point of contact of all things AWS, help them understand AWS benefits and where there may be exciting opportunities for their startups.
  3. Participate actively in startup events of all kinds to identify high potential startups and build personal relationship to startup founders and influencers. Be an influencer in the community.
  4. Work closely with Account team to ensure founders have the technical and business resource required for business growth and identifying additional opportunities for them to work more deeply with AWS and other Amazon business units.
  5. Keep abreast with VC investment trend and cutting--edge technologies, able to identify edge technologies, future unicorns at early stage. Provide analysis on market trending, emerging opportunities.
