What you'd actually do

  1. Maintain and administer the departmental calibration database for in‑house equipment.
  2. Coordinate the collection, calibration, and return of equipment with approved external vendors.
  3. Support departmental purchasing activities, including raising requisitions in line with company processes.
  4. Track purchase orders and follow up to ensure booking forms, goods receipt, deliveries, and payments are processed in a timely manner.
  5. Assist with departmental stores activities, including receiving deliveries, basic inventory updates, labelling, storing, and issuing parts and consumables.

Required

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple parallel tasks.
  • An interest in engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments.
  • Some experience or exposure to coordination, procurement, stores, or administrative support.
  • Confidence communicating with a range of internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with good attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn new processes (e.g. calibration control, COSHH).
  • Forklift licence
