Strategic Account Director

This role is for a Strategic Account Director at Attentive, an AI marketing platform company. The primary focus is on driving expansion and retention within Attentive's strategic customer base by building relationships with key decision-makers, identifying growth opportunities, and managing renewal conversations. The role involves forecasting, negotiation, and presenting data on platform usage to encourage increased investment. It requires experience in closing sales roles, preferably in SaaS/MarTech/AdTech, with a strong track record of meeting quotas and managing executive-level relationships.

What you'd actually do

  1. Engage with senior-level decision makers to identify and pursue opportunities for growth within accounts
  2. Drive renewal conversations within these accounts and ensure successful commercial retention of these key customers
  3. Provide timely and accurate weekly forecasts
  4. Steer complex pricing negotiations with key stakeholders to uncover procurement timelines, budgets and signatory process for contracts
  5. Prepare and present data and trends to customers on usage and engagement of Attentive platform in order to compel customer to increase investment

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in a closing sales role
  • Experience selling Email
  • Experience working in a SaaS, MarTech, AdTech or startup
  • Experience building and owning executive-level relationships within Fortune 100 level accounts
  • Demonstrated strong competency around objection handling and creating alignment around product price / value
  • Analytical account development strategy
  • Ability to think strategically about a customer’s goals and drive renewal & expansion opportunities through to close independently
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to define processes and build strategy
  • Demonstrated experience consistently meeting and exceeding quota, with references
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
