Datadog is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to target and close new business with large, strategic customers and prospects. The role focuses on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering Datadog solutions, emphasizing value and ROI. The ideal candidate has extensive closing experience in enterprise SaaS sales and a proven track record of meeting sales goals.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process
  2. Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
  3. Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business
  4. Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI
  5. Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years closing experience
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals
  • Experience in prospecting and pipeline building
  • Experience selling into large Fortune 1000 companies
  • Ability to win new logos
  • Regular travel to client sites

Nice to have

  • SaaS, IT infrastructure or similar preferred experience
  • Sales training in MEDDIC and Command of the Message
