Strategic Account Executive 4

This is a Strategic Account Executive role focused on leading relationships with mid-market Communications platform customers, managing messaging, voice, and email services. The role involves driving sales cycles, developing account strategies, and partnering with internal teams to grow Twilio's business within assigned accounts. While the company uses AI in its hiring process, this role is not directly involved in AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and expand some of our most important ISV customer accounts with a concentration in utility, automotive, public safety and insurance industries.
  2. Develop, drive, and execute account strategy to consistently deliver strong revenue, gross margin, and gross profit results.
  3. Partner closely with other Twilio teams to identify new revenue opportunities within your account portfolio.
  4. Serve on a cross-functional account team with representatives from product, finance, support, and services teams.
  5. Run a disciplined forecast, consistently achieve goals, and present guidance to executive management.

Skills

Required

  • 7 years of sales experience
  • 1 year of major account or strategic sales experience
  • Experience managing or leading quantitative, highly analytical products and solutions
  • Relationship management, cross-selling, upselling, and solutions consulting
  • Ability to work with business and technical leaders
  • Analytical account development strategy
  • Experience managing business forecasts and financial models
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue and gross profit results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience

Nice to have

  • Deep experience working with telecom companies (CPaaS, SMS aggregators, carriers, or global communications platforms)
  • Domain expertise from a highly quantitative industry (DevOps, Fintech, advertising optimization, investment banking, security or commodity trading)
  • Software, SaaS, CPaaS or PaaS selling experience
