This role is for a Strategic Account Executive at Datadog, focused on closing enterprise new logos in India. The primary responsibility is to target, prospect, and manage sales processes for large Fortune India 500 companies, developing deep customer understanding and negotiating favorable terms. The role requires significant closing experience, a proven track record of exceeding sales goals, and experience in innovative tech companies, particularly in SaaS or IT infrastructure. While Datadog is an AI observability platform, this role is in sales and does not involve building or directly working with AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect into large Fortune India 500 companies while running an efficient sales process
  2. Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
  3. Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business
  4. Negotiate favourable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI
  5. Manage both customer & prospect expectations while expanding & hunting reach and depth into assigned territory, respectively
