Datadog is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to target and close new business with large, strategic customers and prospects, focusing on uncovering pain points in cloud environments at scale and delivering Datadog solutions. The role involves prospecting, building relationships, negotiating deals, and ensuring forecasting accuracy within Fortune 1000 companies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process
  2. Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
  3. Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business
  4. Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI
  5. Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years closing experience (mix of field selling within mid-market and enterprise)
  • insurance and traditional conglomerates in the Hong Kong market
  • Demonstrate methodology to prospect and build pipeline on your own
  • selling into large Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to win new logos
  • regular travel to client sites

  • working for an innovative tech company (SaaS, IT infrastructure or similar preferred)
