Strategic Account Executive, Life Sciences

This is a sales role focused on selling Anthropic's AI productivity SaaS solution to life sciences organizations. The role involves driving revenue growth, securing strategic deals, and becoming a trusted partner to industry stakeholders. The individual will collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to refine the value proposition and market positioning. The role also involves identifying new use cases for AI in life sciences and informing product roadmaps based on user feedback.

What you'd actually do

  1. Win new business and drive revenue for Anthropic within the life sciences industry, focusing on pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, and research organizations. Navigate complex life sciences organizations to reach key decision-makers, educate them about our services, and help them succeed with Anthropic. You'll own the full sales cycle, from outbound to close.
  2. Design and execute innovative sales strategies tailored to life sciences procurement cycles, R&D budgeting processes, and regulatory considerations to meet and exceed revenue quotas. Analyze life sciences market landscapes, trends, and dynamics to translate high-level plans into targeted sales activities and campaigns.
  3. Spearhead market expansion by identifying new use cases within research departments, clinical development teams, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, and commercial organizations. Collaborate cross-functionally to differentiate our offerings for life sciences applications.
  4. Inform product roadmaps and features by gathering feedback from life sciences users including researchers, scientists, regulatory professionals, and commercial leaders, conveying market needs. Provide insights that strengthen our value proposition for life sciences organizations.
  5. Continuously refine the life sciences sales methodology by incorporating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices. Identify process improvements that optimize sales productivity and consistency across pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organizations.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience in life sciences
  • demonstrated success covering pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, and/or research organizations
  • managing complex sales cycles within life sciences organizations
