Datadog is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Executive (SLED) to join their sales team. The role involves prospecting into large State, Local, and Education organizations, building relationships, developing a deep understanding of customer needs, and negotiating business terms to drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate has a strong sales background, experience in SLED/Gov sales, and a passion for technology.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect into large State, Local, and Education organizations while running an efficient sales process
  2. Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
  3. Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business
  4. Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large SLED enterprises by selling value and ROI
  5. Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory
