Strategic Account Executive role focused on closing new business with Datadog's largest customers, understanding their cloud migration challenges, and selling the Datadog platform. This is a sales role, not an AI/ML building role.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process
  2. Maintain, build and own specific relationship maps for your territory including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
  3. Develop a deep comprehension of customer's business
  4. Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI
  5. Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years closing experience
  • SaaS, IT infrastructure or similar preferred experience
  • Experience selling into large Fortune 1000 companies
  • Ability to win new logos
  • Methodology to prospect and build pipeline
  • Negotiation skills
  • Understanding of customer business drivers
  • Forecasting accuracy
