Strategic Account Executive - Telecom Industry

Salesforce is seeking a Strategic Account Executive for the Telecom Industry in India. This role focuses on driving enterprise-wide sales initiatives, exceeding sales targets, and building strategic account plans for large telecom companies. The position requires extensive experience in enterprise solution sales, particularly in CRM and related technologies, with a strong emphasis on driving digital transformation and AI-driven initiatives within client organizations.

What you'd actually do

  1. To exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets by selling Salesforce solutions into enterprise accounts and within an assigned geographical or vertical market. You will handle the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a strong emphasis on new business sales, while expanding existing accounts.
  2. Territory identification and research, to formalize a go-to-market territory strategy and create a qualified target account list within 30 days.
  3. Pipeline development through a combination of cold calling, email campaigns, and market sector knowledge/resourcefulness.
  4. Create and maintain a sales pipeline to ensure over-achievement within the designated market sector(s).
  5. Engage with prospect organizations to position Salesforce solutions through strategic value-based selling, business-case definition, value analysis, references, and analyst data.

Skills

Required

  • Successfully sold into Large Enterprise companies in the CME Industry space, with telco experience being critical.
  • Driven digital transformation initiatives across telecom operators including customer experience modernization, AI-driven service operations, partner ecosystems, and revenue lifecycle management.
  • 15+ years of enterprise solution sales experience selling CRM, ERP, or similar.
  • A proven track record of driving and closing enterprise deals.
  • Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.

  • Experience selling to C-Level and across both IT and business units to customers - Enterprise Customers in the North Market of India.
