Okta is seeking an ambitious, action-oriented events professional to manage end-to-end execution of high-impact internal and external events. The role involves independent ownership of event planning, timeline management, seamless execution, executive program design, budget stewardship, driving measurable pipeline impact, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in B2B corporate events, strong stakeholder management, independent problem-solving skills, and a sense of urgency.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as the primary project lead to event stakeholders on Leadership Summit and key workstreams within our proprietary events (SKO, Oktane, strategic executive events, etc). Plan, manage, and execute assigned events independently with minimal supervision.
  2. Set, communicate, and maintain timelines and priorities across multiple concurrent programs while remaining flexible to evolving scope.
  3. Coordinate all event elements—from venue logistics and vendor management to communications, registrations, and post-event follow-up. Anticipate issues proactively and resolve them with meticulous attention to detail.
  4. Design and execute high-touch executive experiences, including C-suite dinners, customer roundtables, and strategic business meetings. Develop strong working relationships with internal sales leaders, executives, and customer stakeholders to drive attendance, pipeline outcomes, and long-term account loyalty.
  5. Liaise between event agencies and internal finance & procurement teams. Own budget planning, cost tracking, contract negotiation, and ROI analysis. Deliver flawless execution within budget constraints.
