Strategic Finance Analyst II (revenue)

This role is for a Strategic Finance Analyst II (Revenue) at Affirm, a fintech company. The primary focus is on supporting revenue growth through strategic and analytical support, financial modeling, forecasting, and establishing performance metrics. While the role involves collaboration with an ML modeling team and a curiosity for AI, its core responsibilities are in financial analysis and strategy, not direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with cross functional leaders (i.e. Product, Growth Analytics, Credit, Revenue and, Merchant Pricing) to drive business outcomes through strategic and analytic support
  2. Build and maintain financial models to forecast, reconcile, and describe variances for our gamut of metrics
  3. Collaborate with our ML modeling team to marry your modeling with aggregated ML forecasts
  4. Establish top-line performance metrics and targets, analyze and report realized financial performance to Executives and other company leaders, and drive accountability for results
  5. Design and deliver scalable automated user and financial dashboards and analytics for cross departmental and executive consumption

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years experience in fast-paced analytical roles (strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, data science, analytics, etc.)
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear, concise reports
  • High attention to detail but an equally important ability to see the big picture and evaluate analyses with strategic business context
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to navigate cross-functional collaborations effectively and be front and center with company executives
  • Excellent working proficiency in excel (you should be prepared for a financial model case study), and comfort with SQL, Sigma, Cursor and/or other data visualization tools

Nice to have

  • Experience with merchant payments and/or providing analytical support to B2B client relationship and sales teams a plus
  • Python knowledge a plus
