Roblox is seeking a Strategic Financial Analyst, Revenue to own core forecasting models and margin analytics across COGS, tax, and pricing. This role will be responsible for the integrity and evolution of their platform bookings and cost forecasting frameworks, operating at the intersection of Finance, Tax, Payments, Accounting, and Data. The candidate will analyze trends, drive pricing initiatives, lead month-end deliverables, support business decision-making through ad hoc analysis, prepare executive materials, and enhance forecasting accuracy and scalability.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the COGS forecast, budget, and platform bookings model, analyzing trends, delivering insights, and strategically partnering with key business teams who drive our provider mix and COGS rate assumptions.
  2. Drive pricing initiatives and recommendations, developing comprehensive knowledge of COGS and Tax impact to pricing through partnerships with Product (Payments) and Tax teams.
  3. Lead key month-end deliverables for Accounting and Tax, including regional bookings views, tax files, and associated validation checks.
  4. Support business decision-making and recommendations through ad hoc analysis related to new payment providers or platforms, rate negotiations, tax or pricing decisions, etc.
  5. Prepare executive- and board-ready materials that clearly articulate bookings performance, margin drivers, and forward outlook

Skills

Required

  • At least 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or business operations or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics or other quantitative fields (math, science, finance/accounting)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python, SQL, Tableau or other analytical software is a strong plus, but not required
  • An eye for efficiency and gravitate towards automating manual processes
  • Intense curiosity about understanding key drivers of a complex business with eagerness and motivation to make an impact on the business
