Strategic Operations Manager

Salesforce is seeking a Strategic Operations Manager to translate executive strategy into operational outcomes. This role will own key components of the organization's operating model, using data-driven insights to identify opportunities and drive cross-functional initiatives. The manager will partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Strategy teams to ensure alignment and agility towards strategic objectives. Responsibilities include serving as an advisor to the VP, leading V2MOM development, synthesizing business data, and developing business narratives. The role also involves analyzing key business metrics, conducting root-cause analyses, designing operating cadences, and establishing reporting frameworks. Additionally, the manager will lead strategic go-to-market initiatives, partner with leaders to remove barriers, and serve as a liaison between field teams and centralized functions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP, providing insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  2. Lead the development, execution, and quarterly tracking of the organization's V2MOM, ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
  3. Synthesize complex business data into executive-ready presentations, business reviews, and strategic recommendations.
  4. Develop compelling "State of the Business" narratives that translate performance metrics into actionable insights.
  5. Analyze key business metrics, including pipeline generation, retention, customer success, and attrition, to identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends.

Skills

Required

  • Experience in Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, Sales Operations, Management Consulting, Chief of Staff, or a related function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority in a matrixed organization.

  • Experience supporting go-to-market, sales, customer success, or revenue operations organizations.
