This role focuses on strategic sourcing and negotiation of third-party data partnerships to power foundational AI models like Gemini. The manager will translate research needs into data acquisition strategies, build and manage a pipeline of data assets, and lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with AI model development priorities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners. Build and manage pipeline aligned with GDM's strategic priorities.
  2. Lead negotiation of multiple partnership agreements, navigating commercial terms, usage rights, data specifications, and legal/ethical compliance considerations.
  3. Build collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure seamless agreement execution.
  4. Develop and maintain knowledge of the AI landscape, key players, and emerging trends.
  5. Adhere to and contribute to refining the team's operational processes, ensuring efficient agreements, accurate pipeline management, and continuous improvement.

Skills

Required

  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or operations strategy in the technology sector.
  • Experience executing and managing partnerships and negotiating agreements.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience managing partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in an ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
