Strategic Sourcing and Partnerships Manager, Silicon

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Sunnyvale, CA

Meta is looking for a Strategic Sourcing and Partnerships Manager to focus on Application Processors (AP) and System-on-Chip (SoC) sourcing strategy for their consumer hardware products (wearables, AR, VR). The role involves developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier partnerships, leading cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring a resilient and cost-competitive silicon supply chain. The position requires extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and supplier relationship management within the consumer electronics industry. A key aspect of the role involves understanding and integrating AI tools and practices into supply chain operations, including ethical AI considerations, AI skill development, and optimizing workflows with AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and drive end-to-end sourcing strategies for silicon components, including Application Processors (AP) and System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies, aligning supply base decisions with long-term product roadmaps for Meta's consumer electronics and wearables
  2. Lead supplier partnership development by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding strategic silicon suppliers and foundry partners capable of meeting technical, quality, and scale requirements for AR, VR, and wearable hardware programs
  3. Influence cross-functional product development teams including silicon engineering, electrical engineering, and hardware systems teams to integrate supplier capabilities and technology roadmaps early in the design cycle
  4. Own commercial negotiations for long-term agreements, capacity commitments, and joint development arrangements with strategic silicon suppliers and foundry partners, securing favorable terms and accountability for program deliverables
  5. Build and maintain supplier performance measurement systems, conduct regular business reviews, and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost across the silicon supply base

Skills

Required
