Strategy Analyst

This role is for a Strategy Analyst on AT&T's Wireline Transformation and Supply Chain (WTSC) Strategy Team. The analyst will support problem-solving, provide analytical expertise to shape investments, drive cost transformation, and implement best practices in AT&T's supply chain and networks. Responsibilities include analyzing business problems, gathering and standardizing financial/operational data, building statistical/financial models, designing reports/databases, conducting industry benchmarking, and supporting program management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyze complex internal business problems and develop actionable solutions to drive business transformation.
  2. Gather and standardize financial and operational data from multiple sources to uncover trends and improve cost efficiency.
  3. Build and apply statistical and financial models to identify cost-saving opportunities, utilizing clean sheet and should-cost methodologies.
  4. Design reports, reporting tools, and databases to support effective decision-making and operational improvements.
  5. Conduct industry benchmarking and supplier assessments to provide fact-based negotiation support and market intelligence.

Skills

Required

  • 1+ years of experience in management consulting, analytics, strategy, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills, including data modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and present findings clearly to stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a supply chain-related field
  • Experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or another highly analytical role
  • Exposure to software, mechanical, or electrical engineering concepts
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Advanced data modeling experience.
