Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company
Join BILL’s Strategy & Operations team as a Director, where you will partner with our Product organization to develop product strategy and ensure efficient execution of highest priority initiatives. This role will work closely with leadership of our Product organization, but will collaborate deeply with broader functions across BILL, including Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, and Data Analytics organizations to drive strong connective tissue between corporate priorities and day-to-day execution. While the role is an individual contributor position, will lead work strategic work across Product and cross-functional teams and influence at the senior leadership level. The ideal candidate has strong business intuition, the ability to leverage a strategy toolkit to assess opportunities, exceptional organization and project management skills, and can effortlessly build relationships to influence and support stakeholders. Additionally, this work will contribute heavily to the ongoing development and execution of BILL’s AI vision, focused on unlocking market-leading value creation via agentic automation for our SMB customers and Accountant clients.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and ongoing refinement of product strategy, ensuring tight alignment with BILL’s corporate priorities and long-term vision.
- Drive the operating rhythm for the Product Organization (e.g., OKRs, business reviews, planning cycles), creating clarity on goals, progress, and trade-offs.
- Lead comprehensive planning processes for the Software BU, ensuring alignment with long-term priorities while adapting to changing market and company conditions. Maintain a quarterly, annual / 18 month roadmap.
- Structure and execute complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives—from problem definition through recommendation, implementation, and post-mortem learning.
- Analyze business, product, and customer data to generate insights, build robust models, and translate findings into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
- Craft executive-ready presentations and narratives that communicate strategy, performance, and key decisions to Product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, GTM, and Finance to translate strategy into roadmaps, KPIs, and resourcing plans that enable efficient, high-impact execution.
- Advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization, establishing robust frameworks for evaluating trade-offs and impact
- Serve as a visible leader and thought partner—creating structure for complex challenges and accelerating high-visibility initiatives
We’d love to chat if you have:
- 10+ years of experience, with direct expertise in both Strategy Consulting and at a company in a Product-related role (Strategy, Product Management, Business Operations, etc.); ideal candidate has 3+ years of direct experience working at a SaaS company
- Robust experience partnering closely with Product and Engineering leaders to shape strategy and drive cross-functional execution
- Deep familiarity with GenAI software offerings and experience scaling AI initiatives within software businesses
- Demonstrated experience driving high-impact, strategic initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders through data-driven recommendations
- Robust experience partnering closely with Product and Engineering leaders to shape strategy and drive cross-functional execution
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort working with data to build models, size opportunities, and inform trade-off decisions
- Outstanding communication and influence skills, with a track record of creating executive-level materials and aligning senior stakeholders without formal authority.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, thriving in ambiguity, driving structure, and proactively moving work from idea to impact.

San Jose pay range
$219,300—$274,200 USD
The estimated base salary range for this role is noted below for our office location in Draper, UT. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in BILL’s bonus and equity plan. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.
Draper UT pay range
$186,400—$233,100 USD
Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below.
