This role is for a Strategy & Operations Lead within OpenAI's Global GTM Data Science and AI Solutions team. The primary focus is on scaling the impact of AI solutions for go-to-market strategies, partnering with sales, RevOps, and data science teams to identify opportunities, drive initiatives, and operationalize AI-powered tools. The role involves strategic analytics, market intelligence, and execution, translating technical AI capabilities into practical business outcomes and enablement materials for commercial teams. While the role works closely with AI solutions and uses AI tools, it does not involve building or shipping AI models or agents directly, but rather focuses on the operationalization and adoption of AI in a commercial context.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leading high-priority strategic analytics initiatives across Global GTM Data Science and AI Solutions, from problem definition through execution.
  2. Building and scaling competitive intelligence capabilities to inform GTM strategy, product positioning, and commercial opportunities.
  3. Owning business performance updates for GTM leadership, including executive-ready metrics, insights, and narratives for operating reviews.
  4. Translating complex data science and AI capabilities into clear recommendations and practical workflows for business teams.
  5. Creating enablement materials that help sales and GTM teams adopt new data-driven tools and AI solutions.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or consulting roles, ideally in high-growth technology environments.
  • Background in top-tier strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or similar experience leading complex strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of business performance management, commercial metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales, RevOps, business operations, or go-to-market leadership teams.
  • Excellent problem-structuring and market intelligence skills, with the ability to synthesize multiple signals into clear recommendations.
  • Comfort working at the intersection of technical and business teams, translating analytical insights into operational impact.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflows, and the ability to quickly understand new technologies and apply them to business problems.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or Python sufficient to QA analytical outputs or AI-generated code.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level updates for senior leadership.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence without direct authority.
