Strategy & Operations Manager - Venues

Uber is seeking a Strategy & Operations Manager for its Venues workstream in Sydney, Australia. This role will focus on improving rider experience in high-traffic physical locations. The manager will own initiatives from scoping to optimization, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include closing commercial deals, optimizing customer experience, building performance dashboards, developing strategy for mobility experience, structuring and solving ambiguous business problems using data, creating executive presentations, diagnosing and implementing improvements, and scaling growth opportunities with accountability for customer experience, P&L, and budgets. The role requires a quantitative degree, 3+ years of analytics experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, product sense, an entrepreneurial mindset, and excellent communication skills. SQL proficiency and experience with SQL, Tableau, or Python are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with cross functional teams to close commercial deals and optimise the customer experience.
  2. Build and maintain dashboards to track venue performance against key metrics,
  3. Make rider experience the reason people choose Uber. Lead strategy for Uber to be best in class mobility experience.
  4. Structure and solve ambiguous business problems. Dig into our customer data and surface actionable insights on our customer experience and sentiment.
  5. Develop executive level presentations to influence senior leadership and gain buy-in on critical business decisions.
  6. Diagnose and implement opportunities for actionable improvements and frameworks to evaluate decisions. then own execution and resolution of those improvements.
  7. Own and scale new and/or existing Growth Opportunities, with full accountability for customer experience, P&L performance, and promotional budgets

Skills

Required

  • University degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business/Commerce, Social Science, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience applying analytics to tackle business problems (consulting, banking, tech, or high-growth environments).
  • Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving

  • Experience representing your company externally with partners, clients, or stakeholders
