This role is for a Senior System Integration & Test Engineer at RTX, a large aerospace and defense company. The engineer will support radar capability development by planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities in a laboratory environment. Responsibilities include hands-on testing of hardware and software on Linux systems, troubleshooting system-level issues, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and developing test plans and reports. The role requires a STEM degree, 5+ years of experience, and experience with MATLAB, Python, Shell scripting, Linux, hardware/software testing, networking, and systems integration. A security clearance is mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist in planning, executing, and documenting system integration and test activities for a radar program in a laboratory environment.
  2. Perform hands-on testing and integration of hardware and software, with a focus on systems running Linux-based operating environments.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues related to software, hardware, and operating systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
  4. Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to identify and address technical challenges.
  5. Develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with program requirements.
