Boeing is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to support satellite systems hardware, focusing on mechanical integrity and structural analysis using analytical methods, finite element models, and simulations throughout the product lifecycle. The role involves implementing engineering statements of work, coordinating with engineering groups, developing test plans, and investigating failures.

What you'd actually do

  1. Implement the engineering statement of work for current and future satellite systems contracts in structural analysis with a focus on first-time quality, on-time engineering, cost, and schedule.
  2. Lead development, integration, qualification, and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.
  3. Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish product environment.
  4. Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models and simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance.
  5. Lead development of test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze and report test results to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

Skills

Required

  • Stress analysis or structural analysis experience
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience

  • Experience solving complex problems
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python, MATLAB, VBA, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills to interface with different program and customer teams
