Structural Engineer Level 2 / 3

Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman · Aerospace · Ocean Springs, MS +4 · Mechanical

Structural Engineer role at Northrop Grumman, focusing on developing and analyzing finite element models for component and system level designs using software like Hypermesh, Nastran, and Abaqus. Requires a STEM degree and experience in structural analysis, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop component and system level finite element models using Hypermesh and post process analysis results using Hyperview, Matlab and Excel.
  2. Perform linear finite element static, transient, vibration, modal and direct frequency response, and response spectra analyses using Nastran and Abaqus.
