What you'd actually do

  1. Develops, integrates, and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish overall system design
  2. Creates, maintains, and updates structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3‑D CAD tools and other design methods to provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and customers
  3. Performs and integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  4. Manages supplier development, test, and production activities; coordinate with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program goals
  5. Investigates emerging technologies to propose concepts for future product designs that meet projected requirements

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent industry experience
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent industry experience
  • Familiarity with payloads engineering releases and configuration management processes
  • Experience with CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, DCCS, and REDARS
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation and authoring technical deliverables
  • Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to collaborate across teams
