Strategic Capacity Planner for Intel Foundry's Substrate Business Group, responsible for managing and planning the substrate capacity network, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop long-range capacity strategies aligned with technology roadmaps and business objectives. Requires technical expertise in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, and supply chain management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and manage planning of the highly critical and complex substrate capacity network.
  2. Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to define the long-range capacity strategy, with consideration of product roadmaps, demand, parameters, factory capability, affordability, space, and forecast uncertainty.
  3. Present and secure ratification of strategic recommendations to senior leadership through data-driven analysis and clear business impact assessment
  4. Forecast requirements and parameters for products to suppliers and develop capacity strategies to meet business and customer requirements
  5. Collaborate with cross functional teams and suppliers to develop detailed capacity roadmap execution plans

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related technical field with at least 6 years of experience.
  • Masters's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related technical field with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Ph.D. degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related technical field with at least 2 years of experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes, particularly substrate or advanced packaging technologies.
  • 3+ years with roadmaps that describe the action plan to translate strategic objectives into short- and long-term milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and educate senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in complex data analysis and trend identification
  • Strategic mindset with ability to balance short-term execution with long-term planning
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and risk assessment skills

Nice to have

  • Ph.D. degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related technical field with 4+ years of experience.
  • Supply chain or TD role in a fabless environment, with external manufacturing and suppliers.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-tier supplier networks
  • Experience developing and implementing planning methodologies and processes.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholder groups.
