Success Architect - Core Platform

Salesforce is seeking a Success Architect for their Core Platform in Tokyo, Japan. This role focuses on helping enterprise clients maximize their use of Salesforce products, particularly Core Platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Salesforce Platform), with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level security, identity management, and governance. The role also involves advising on future AI/Agentforce capabilities and Data Cloud. Responsibilities include providing best practices, technical advice, security architecture reviews, and creating assets for clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in consulting, technical support, or account management, deep knowledge of Salesforce Core Platform, and strong expertise in enterprise platform security architecture. Experience with Data Cloud, AI/Agentforce, and security certifications are desirable.

What you'd actually do

Skills

Required

  • Consulting, technical support, account management, or project management experience in a broad range of areas (preferably related to Salesforce or related applications)
  • Experience approaching challenges from a customer's perspective
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce Core Platform products
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce Core Platform product functionality and its appropriate use and operation (including integration with 3rd Party solutions, not just Salesforce products)
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise platform security architecture (authentication, SSO, encryption, audit logs, sharing models, etc.) and experience designing and applying them to customer requirements
  • Experience supporting large, technically complex customers with ongoing product functionality challenges
  • Ability and track record to effectively communicate, demonstrate value, and influence at all levels, including customer executives, to build trust
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively execute multiple tasks, even in difficult and high-pressure situations
  • Ability to analyze technical concepts and translate them into business language, and map technical features to business requirements
  • Understanding of database, application, and network technologies in the cloud computing (multi-tenant) world
  • Ability to control the level of abstraction and detail in communication appropriately to the audience
  • Proactive attitude to continuously learn new technologies and features
  • High motivation and ability to perform tasks proactively and independently
  • Attitude and ability to cooperate across departments and job titles
