The Accounts Payable Supervisor will manage and oversee AP operations, drive process improvements and optimization, lead technology implementation and utilization (Oracle Fusion, OCR, IDP), manage vendor relationships, supervise invoice processing and reconciliation, ensure timely payment processing, maintain internal controls and compliance, generate reports and analysis, support audits, and develop the team. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, 7+ years of AP experience (3+ supervisory), mandatory experience with Oracle Fusion AP module and OCR/IDP technologies, strong accounting principles knowledge, leadership, data analysis, and communication skills. Must be a US Person.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and Oversee AP Operations: Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team, ensuring all departmental tasks are executed accurately and efficiently. This includes overseeing the entire procure-to-pay cycle from invoice receipt to payment disbursement.
  2. Process Improvement and Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine AP processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy. Identify opportunities for automation and implement best practices.
  3. Technology Implementation and Utilization: Lead the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of AP-related technologies, including Oracle Fusion (ERP) systems and automation tools (e.g. OCR and IDP).
  4. Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and disputes. Negotiate favorable payment terms where appropriate.
  5. Invoice Processing and Reconciliation: Supervise the accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, authorization, and compliance with company policies, including 1099 considerations and reporting. Oversee the reconciliation of vendor statements and the resolution of discrepancies.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable
  • At least 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
  • Proven experience with Oracle Fusion (specifically the Accounts Payable module)
  • Demonstrated experience with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and IDP (Intelligent Document Processing) technologies within an AP environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset
  • Must be a U.S. Person

  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus
