This role is a Material Program Manager responsible for supplier performance, schedule management, risk identification, and corrective actions for interdivisional work orders within defense and aerospace programs. It involves managing supplier relationships, reviewing performance data, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead focal point for NGMS-SLC for PS&C programs responsible to monitor performance in the areas of quality, on time delivery, and corrective actions. Ensure recovery plans are established and executed aggressively.
  2. Control Account Manager (CAM) for PS&C programs for the NGSM-SLC IWO accounts, which includes review earned value data inputs and reports and analyze performance deviations.
  3. Request, dispatch, and oversee cross functional resources as required, this may include supply quality, engineering, procurement, and other program resources.
  4. Utilize LEAN techniques to identify potential process improvements to improve lead-times and reduce costs.
  5. Evaluate and advocate for supplier and company initiated changes and coordinates appropriate testing and validation as required.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering and/or technical discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience (or 8 years with a Masters) in defense or aerospace systems and/or management in development or production projects
  • Experience with Defense or Aerospace Industry
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects and/or processes to achieve projects cost, performance, and schedule requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • U.S citizen and ability to obtain US Government Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in a Business or Technical field
  • PMP Certification
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management on a major program
  • Demonstrated experience in interfacing seamlessly with functional teams, customers, and major subcontract parts in an IPT structure
  • Experience using SAP
