Supplier Quality Analyst

This role is for a Supplier Quality Analyst at Northrop Grumman. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications and drawings, performing First Article Inspections, managing Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs), and approving First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). The role also involves supplier risk assessment and process improvement. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in global supply chain, quality, or business management, with experience in ERP systems and data analysis. Experience with MES, SAP, root cause corrective actions, and quality/nonconformance controls is preferred. The role involves travel and requires a security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform Specification/Drawing Compliance Reviews, First Article Inspections and support Receiving Inspection on various categories of hardware such as PWBs, CCAs, cables and connectors, microelectronics, electro-mechanical systems, and mechanical components & assemblies
  2. Initiate and manage SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Reports) to address nonconforming material by working cross-functionally identify root cause and ensure robust corrective actions are implemented
  3. Review and Approve FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) in accordance with AS9102 to ensure that Suppliers are able to ship product in a timely manner
  4. Effectively perform supplier risk assessment activities designed to identify and quantify the probability and impact the supply chain may have in support of proposal & business development efforts
  5. Monitor workflow bottlenecks, propose process improvements, and implement approved changes.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of experience in global supply chain, quality and/or business management; will consider an additional 4 years of experience in supply chain, quality and/or business management in lieu of a bachelors degree
  • Experience in using ERP systems
  • Experience in processing, monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting for overall program and segments

Nice to have

  • Experience using MES and/or SAP system
  • Experience in Root Cause Corrective actions
  • Experience with quality controls and/ or nonconformance controls
