Supply Chain Engineer responsible for direct material issues in the ATM assembly test process, managing quality, new product introductions, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. The role involves defining inspection methodologies, optimizing the supply chain, and collaborating with suppliers. It also includes leading and mentoring junior engineers and contributing to future technology definitions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and drive quality issues. Chair and lead MRBs working with SBG and GMO on 8Dfor the MRB while dispositioning materials. Drive continuous improvement and quality improvement on Direct Materials in tandem with SBG and GMO.
  2. FME are responsible for all the direct and indirect materials for any New Product Introduction including ensuring qualification.
  3. Responsible to work with Factory Module Engineers on cost reduction and value engineering activities.
  4. As a senior SCE, the candidate is expected to lead/coach and mentor junior SCEs.
  5. They will be expected to drive VF wide improvements and standardization.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors or Masters in Materials Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum 10+ years experience working with assembly test operations
  • In-depth technical knowledge of substrates, integrated heat spreaders (IHS), stiffeners, and epoxy processes across assembly packaging
  • Experience managing assembly test direct and indirect materials for New Product Introduction, high volume manufacturing (HVM) and quality excursion
  • Technical structure problem solving
