Supply Chain Operations Manager

Manages a team responsible for supplier portfolio management, on-time project execution, rate readiness, and performance of build and delivery activities for Boeing airplane programs. Ensures suppliers have adequate capacity and resources to meet Boeing's requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
  2. Manage employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and small business subcontracting
  3. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  4. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  5. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

What the JD emphasized

  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
