Supply Chain Planner Ll

Saronic · Defense · Austin, TX · Supply Chain

Supply Chain Planner II role at Saronic, a company focused on autonomous maritime solutions. The role involves managing material flow, forecasting demand, optimizing inventory, and supporting production for autonomous surface vessels. Key responsibilities include tactical supply planning, translating engineering demand into material requirements, optimizing planning parameters, managing BOM changes, mitigating material risks, ensuring master data governance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role also requires monitoring material readiness metrics, leading shortage resolution, developing supply planning processes, analyzing performance data, and ensuring compliance with DoD regulations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and improve end-to-end tactical supply plans to support NPI builds, production builds, and/or off-nominal builds.
  2. Translate engineering demand, build schedules, and program milestones into executable material requirements within ERP/MRP systems, ensuring system-driven visibility and control.
  3. Optimize factory planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, planning fences, reorder strategies) to improve material flow, reduce shortages, and support rapid design iteration.
  4. Drive BOM maturity and change management execution by assessing material impact of ECOs, managing cut-ins/cut-outs, and minimizing excess and obsolete exposure.
  5. Identify and mitigate material readiness risks related to design instability, supplier capacity constraints, long-lead components, and quality performance through structured risk registers and recovery plans.
