Role Definition Processes job requisitions and provides support for supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation.
Responsibilities • Take lead on Logistics management & optimization. • Identifies and leads initiatives to improve the supply-chain process. • Supporting customers and leading customer proposal efforts with pricing information and supplier selection. • Accountable for maintaining supply chain application systems.

Skill Descriptors Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products. Level Basic Understanding: • Explains how improvements in logistics contribute to competitive advantage in the marketplace. • Identifies issues and considerations for inbound and outbound logistics. • Documents internal and external informative sources or proprietary materials about logistics management. • Describes basic logistical processes and sub-processes.
Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability. Level Basic Understanding: • Describes basic concepts of materials and capacity management processes and procedures. • Describes product life cycle and associated MRP cycle. • Identifies parameters and considerations used in making decisions about production runs. • Describes the use of bills of materials and other documentation needed to provide supplies.
Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services. Level Working Knowledge: • Defines the critical workflow for executing key processes. • Identifies process problems that limit performance. • Implements methods for improving and establishing controls for critical processes. • Focuses on the most significant problems to maximize efficiency gains. • Surfaces systemic problems to be addressed at the organizational level.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Level Basic Understanding: • Identifies project management tools and requirements within own function. • Describes the key objectives, phases and deliverables of a current project. • Explains the concepts of phase, activity, task, and deliverable. • Gives examples of critical paths in projects.
Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice. Level Basic Understanding: • Describes the typical tasks associated with using and managing suppliers. • Defines common terms and conditions of agreements with suppliers. • Explains the organizational process for soliciting and selecting suppliers. • States the roles and responsibilities of one's own and suppliers' staff.
Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes. Level Basic Understanding: • Locates and interprets walk-throughs of the consumption stream and associated provision stream. • Identifies goals and objectives of effective supply chain management. • Describes major areas associated with supply chain management. • Cites multiple examples of waste, high costs and inefficiencies associated with supply chains.
This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
