This role is for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist at Northrop Grumman, responsible for managing all program subcontracts, materials, and services. The specialist will lead the integrated program team, direct functional organizations to meet material-related program objectives (cost, schedule, quality), and manage material risks and opportunities. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree with significant experience in supply chain or planning, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Convey to the Program Manager and IPT a full understanding of the materials acquisition and subcontractor requirements and plan.
  2. Lead the IPT and direct functional organizations to achieve material-related program objectives (cost, schedule, quality), while managing material risks and opportunities.
  3. Ensure program budget, materials availability, and quality objectives are met by managing and directing the activities of IPT members, the Procurement Team and external suppliers and customers.
  4. Develop and communicate material acquisition and subcontractor management objectives and strategies.
  5. Manage the Make/Buy process

Skills

Required

  • bachelor's degree with at least 8 years' experience in supply chain, planning, or a closely related field OR master's degree with 6 years of experience (Level 4)
  • bachelor's degree with at least 12 years' experience in supply chain, planning, or a closely related field OR master's degree with 10 years of experience (Level 5)
  • Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system
  • MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated knowledge of production, material control and financial procedures and systems (such as Proposal, Line of Balance, EAC, and Sales Forecasting)
  • Eight or more years directly related experience with progressively broader responsibility in Materials Management or related discipline with some degree of leadership experience
  • Familiarity with government contracting requirements and compliance
  • Some travel may be required
