Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist or Principal to support the Advanced Communications and Networks (ACN) Operating Unit. The role involves developing supply chain strategy, assessing supply resources, planning inventory and production, and managing GSC scope for programs. Responsibilities include analyzing supply/demand, using MRP tools, managing requisitions, and briefing program leadership on GSC status. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in supply chain or related fields, or equivalent experience. Experience with SAP or similar MRP systems, Federal and Defense Contracting requirements (FAR/DFARS/ITAR), and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary. A Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops supply chain strategy and leads activities for GSC in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), working with program team members from requirements establishment through final material deliveries
  2. Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products
  3. Contributes to the management of GSC scope for multifaceted program(s), proposal through close-out; coordinates interdepartmental activity, facilitates internal/external team communication, coordinates with Suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functions
  4. Support supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution
  5. Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years (0+ Years with Masters) of supply chain, program management and/or business management experience; will consider a minimum of 6 years of supply chain, program management and/or business management experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree
  • Experience working in Supply Chain / Logistics
  • Experience with SAP or similar Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system(s)
  • Experience in working with or in the areas of supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product scheduling
  • Experience with or general knowledge of Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS/ITAR
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance

  • Active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience in Earned Value Management methodology and subject matter
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) certification
  • Experience in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program management
  • Experience in managing stakeholders across multiple levels of an organization from deck plate up to senior leadership (Director and above)
  • Experience working with multiple complex contracting types and agreements including FFP, CR and CPFF type contracts, while also having an understanding for special payment provisions (progress/performance-based payments)
