This role is for a Supply Chain Specialist at AMD. The primary responsibilities include analyzing and managing supply chain positions to meet product milestones and production demand, reviewing freight spending for cost savings, preparing reports, recommending shipment routes, coordinating with finance, and analyzing supply-demand matching. The role also involves managing inventory forecasts, driving discussions to close revenue commitment gaps, and representing the supply chain in various meetings. Experience with product life cycle, project management, supply chain planning, demand analysis, inventory management, SAP/SQL/Excel, product planning, and front-end wafer fabrication is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyze and manage the supply position to meet new product milestones and production demand ramp.
  2. Review freight spending and identify trends or areas of cost savings.
  3. Recommend the best shipment routes/agents/forwarders based on freight spends analysis and get buy-in from sites involved.
  4. Coordinate with Finance and key stakeholders to align data and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Analyze supply-demand matching, based on MRP system, to determine root cause changes, shortages and surpluses, and identify and drive course corrections.
