Support Engineer 2

This role focuses on investigating and resolving issues with front-end applications, involving data capture, tool application, user shadowing, and internal/external testing. It also includes backend tasks like log file analysis, database querying, and server management. The role requires strong communication skills for client and internal collaboration, documentation of resolutions, and prioritization of work based on severity. Collaboration with development and engineering teams is essential for issue resolution. Basic qualifications include a minimum of five years of experience and a bachelor's degree in a related computer science field. Preferred qualifications include experience in application support, incident/problem/change management, SQL knowledge, and willingness to work in shifts.

What you'd actually do

  1. conducting investigations on front-end applications
  2. capturing information, applying fix tools, shadowing end users, and testing workflows internally and externally
  3. capturing log files, querying tables, updating database fields and cycling servers
  4. Effective verbal and written communication with clients and internal collaborators
  5. Documentation of notes, activities, resolutions, and knowledge articles throughout the investigation lifecycles

Skills

Required

  • minimum of five years’ experience
  • bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, information systems, software engineering, or a related field
  • SQL

Nice to have

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in application support, client/customer support, incident management, problem management and change management
  • Readiness to work during the shift from 5.30PM to 2.30AM IST
  • Outstanding interpersonal abilities and adapt at efficient communication with collaborators across various regions of the globe
  • ready to work in different shifts and provide on-call support outside standard hours as needed
