Support Engineer for Electrical & Mechanical Design at Disney, focusing on design development, process management, construction monitoring, document control, and R&D for building services and resort-wide systems. What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and review E&M design solutions to achieve objectives of the planned enhancement and development projects taking into consideration of specific project nature in term of time, cost, specified quality standard, life-cycle cost, maintenance requirements, end-user’s requirements, guests’ expectation, local statutory requirements and show standard of Disney including preparing concept design, design brief, schematic design; and reviewing design proposal from external consultants.
  2. Take part in design development from inception stage to construction details and prepare design deliverables including drawings, design calculations, specification, and quality control processes as well as coordination with Project Managers, external consultants, end-users, contractors and Government Authorities.
  3. Work with Project Managers to monitor and supervise the projects and ensure completed in line with the specified quality standard with effective quality control system.
  4. Implement document issue, numbering, coding, and distribution system, and manage a project-wide document control system.
  5. continually review the quality performance of design solutions and construction materials and detailing and evaluate the use of new building materials and engineering systems.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant design experience in Building Services, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems.
  • Strong understanding of the property development process and E&M systems across building and resort-wide applications.
  • Familiarity with local statutory requirements for E&M design is essential.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
