This role supports the Alexa 3P Experiences Quality Monitoring team by investigating customer-reported defects, performing log analysis to identify root causes, and supporting issue resolution workflows. The role involves working with AI-powered monitoring tools to ensure quality across Alexa+ experiences and building technical depth in debugging and root cause analysis.

What you'd actually do

  1. Investigate customer-reported defects across Alexa+ 3P Add-ons and skills using debugging tools and service logs.
  2. Perform log analysis to identify root causes of technical issues including routing failures, session crashes, and API errors.
  3. Triage incoming tickets from the monitoring pipeline, classifying issues by severity and type.
  4. Execute debugging playbooks to resolve known issue patterns without external escalation.
  5. Validate outputs from AI-powered monitoring tools and flag inaccuracies for review by senior engineers.

Skills

Required

  • 1+ years of software development, or 1+ years of technical support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages

Nice to have

  • Experience with prompt engineering for large language models (LLMs) or generative AI applications
