Northrop Grumman is seeking an Algorithms Engineer with a systems engineering approach to design and test custom algorithm solutions, and develop and validate complex models and simulations. This role requires experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and working collaboratively on projects involving hardware, software, and firmware, with proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for designing and testing custom algorithm solutions as well as developing and validating complex models and simulations.
  2. Successful candidates will bring a systems engineering approach to understanding physics phenomenology and creating our in-house algorithms and performance models.
  3. Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations
  4. Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass both hardware, software, and firmware
  5. Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
  • Experience developing custom algorithms and/or performance models
  • Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations
  • Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass both hardware, software, and firmware
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Understanding of Agile roles and responsibilities
