Northrop Grumman is seeking an Algorithms Engineer with a systems engineering approach to design and test custom algorithm solutions and develop complex models and simulations. This role requires a strong background in STEM, experience with algorithm development, and proficiency in programming languages like MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for designing and testing custom algorithm solutions as well as developing and validating complex models and simulations.
  2. Successful candidates will bring a systems engineering approach to understanding physics phenomenology and creating our in-house algorithms and performance models.
  3. Experience developing custom algorithms and/or performance models
  4. Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations
  5. Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass both hardware, software, and firmware

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Experience developing custom algorithms and/or performance models
  • Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations
  • Experience working collaboratively on complex projects that encompass both hardware, software, and firmware
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Understanding of Agile roles and responsibilities
